      @@SoulsOfAG I use a cake or pie server. Little triangular spatula thing. It can still be tricky though. I suppose if it means that much to you, you could get a tart pan with removable sides. Hth

    These look just like Moroccan "khobz", except they don't use lard of course, and they sometimes use a bit of semolina in the dough and sprinkled on top for texture. Great for scooping up some tagine.

    Alrighty then, tried this finally, did the butter chicken, very nice indeed for a Butter Chicken you are making on the fly. Used the work around sauce on this but can see the benefit of making the starter and having it on hand to make quick curries. Good stuff chef

    Love this, great tip on the 00 flour, husband was dismissive as he’s from Sunderland and your accent pissed him off but he loved this. He did educate me on who Andre the Giant was. He is always pissed at the derby thing as he doesn’t consider Middlesbrough to be a derby. But the couple of videos I’ve shared with him he’s loved the recipes so will be making them.we love in Ottawa now.

      My commiserations on being married to a Mackem, although I've spent a lot of time in Houghton-le-Spring and found it to be most agreeable. We're all basically cut from the same cloth. Middlesbrough maybe has more irish in it and your standard Mackem and Geordie are jocks with their heads kicked in, as my nanna used to say, but we're all just broken bricks in the human rubble of post industrialisation really ❤

      Instant oats wouldn't give the right texture I'm afraid mate. They'd also absorb too much moisture. I wouldn't recommend it

    hello chef, i've recently followed a baguette recipe very similar to this (i will link/note below) however my bread is always a little bit dense and dough-y. I will follow this recipe shortly however I want to avoid dense bread and achieve a more "fluffy/air-y" baguette, what could I be doing wrong? thank you! i am very new to baking and want to improve :)

      It could be many things really depending on the recipe. If you've followed my recipes and you're still not getting good results I'd check that your oven is the correct temperature first. Ovens can run a lot hotter or colder than the temp you set it to so an oven thermometer might be a good investment for you. Let me know how you get on with my recipe because I test my recipes thoroughly before uploading and this one works everytime for me. Hope that helps

    Just made it. Didn't have fresh chili so used powder and flakes. Also used fresh tomatoes. Great result but definitely not kebab shop sauce. Next time I'll make it properly.

    Made this last week and it was absolutely the best Donar that I have ever eaten. I used ciabatta rolls toasted on one side , then I made up a lemon dressing and coated the salad with it, placed the meat on top of the salad and finished off with sweet chilli sauce, absolutely delicious.
